Kroger is the place to buy your papers this week! They are again offering the Sunday paper for $1.25, .50 off the list price. This is a great coupon week, so I headed to Kroger for 10 copies of the paper.

Buy 3 Kelloggs products, get 2 free gallons of milk! (I think today is the last day for this deal)

Recipe of the Week
Sending out a big thank you to Jen's mom, aka One Cheap Chick's Mom, who provided us with all of those delicious recipes in 09! I know I have really enjoyed them and I'm sure you have too.
Unfortunately, in all of the holiday hustle and bustle, I overlooked two yummy sounding recipes that she had sent to be posted for holiday parties. Now I'm sending her a big apology.
Luckily they weren't egg nog recipes!! These tempting appetizers are good all year round.

Back on the Bandwagon!
Okay, I must admit, yesterday was the worst grocery shopping spending I've done in the past year and a half! I was OUT of groceries (so my family informed me - meaning, the good New Year's Day snackie stuff), all coupons seemed to be expired, and the sales were bleak! Yet, there I was checking out of the grocery store... spending $50 on what? I have no idea... I feel like I've fallen off the wagon!
As luck would have it, this Sunday's paper is jammed with inserts. Five of them: three Smart Source and two Valassis. So, empty out those expired coups, send them on to the military families and lets get back in the groove!
Of course there are the diet product coupons and sales for these items as well. If you are starting a diet, stock up on these items as this will most likely be the best time of year for their sales.

Hi All, Wow, our posts have been scarce. Sorry for that. But you are probably shopping as we are - for Christmas gifts and not paying too much attention to the groceries... Well, I'm here to bring you back just a bit.

There is nice Kellogg's Cereal Deal, Free milk WYB 5.
I purchased 5 Mini Wheat's at $2 a box, used this $1 off IP (found HERE or press the coupons.com box on the left over there). I also had a $1off any Cereal Meijer CAT. In addition, I grabbed only the boxes with the dvd offers on the back (collect 5 tokens and receive a FREE DVD).
So, My total for 5 boxes of cereal was $4 + a FREE Milk and a free DVD. NOT BAD!
Plus you could layer this with the Buy 3 Kellogg's, get $1.50 off your favorite store brand coffee. Which I would buy at $6 (or less) - $1 MQ and the $1.50 Kellogg's Q is coffee for $3.50
Also, Fiber One toaster pastries are on clearance for $1.71 - .50 MQ = .71 c ea.
Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers, 3/$5 = $1.66 ea - .75MQ = .66c. ea.

After reading Jen's post this week, I headed over to Meijer to get some 10 for 10 items.
I also checked out the Hane's sale that Jen mentioned: Buy 3 Hane's items and receive $10 off at register.
I found a ladies sport socks 3pair pack, for $4.39 each.
Total 3 packs = $13.87 - $10 = $3.87!
If you want to do this deal more than once, make sure you do it in separate transactions because its only one $10 offer per transaction.
